Domains allow your website to be accessible under a specific name. Each customer can manage multiple domains and subdomains once they have been added by the administrator.

1. Managing Your Domains

To view and manage your domains:

1. Log in to your hosting control panel:
   • https://s2.ebithost.co.uk
   • https://panel.ebithost.co.uk
2. Navigate to Domains > Domains Overview.
3. A list of your domains will be displayed.

2. Adding a Main Domain

New domains can only be added by an administrator.

1. Contact support or your account administrator to add a new domain to your account.
2. Once added, connect your domain to the hosting server by setting up an A (IPv4) and an AAAA (IPv6) record in your domain registrar’s DNS settings.
   • The IP addresses for these records can be found in the Edit Domain page under Domains Overview.

3. Creating a Subdomain

Subdomains can be added to any domain in your account.

3.1 Subdomain Settings

To create a subdomain:

1. Go to Domains > Domains Overview and select Create Subdomain.
2. Fill in the following fields:
   • Domain Name: Enter the subdomain (e.g., blog) and select the main domain from the dropdown (e.g., example.com). The result will be blog.example.com.
   • Alias for Domain: Optionally, set the subdomain as an alias for an existing domain, inheriting its settings.
   • Path: Specify the document root for the subdomain. By default, this will point to a folder named after the subdomain in your home directory.
     • To redirect the subdomain to another URL, enter the URL (e.g., https://anotherdomain.com).
   • Redirect Code: Choose the HTTP status code for the redirection (e.g., 301 for permanent redirect).
   • OpenBasedir Path: Define directory restrictions for security. By default, it’s set to the document root.

3.2 PHP Configuration

Select the PHP version or configuration for the subdomain. Only the administrator can enable or modify available PHP configurations.

3.3 Web Server Settings

• Enable SSL: Activate SSL for secure HTTPS connections.
• SSL Redirect: Automatically redirect HTTP requests to HTTPS.
• Use Let's Encrypt: Enable free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates with automatic renewal.
• HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS): Add security headers to enforce HTTPS connections.

4. Updating an Existing Domain

To update domain settings:

1. Go to Domains > Domains Overview.
2. Click the edit icon next to the domain you want to update.
3. Modify the required settings, such as:
   • Document root
   • PHP version
   • SSL and HSTS settings

Note: Changes may take a few minutes to apply.

5. Deleting a Domain or Subdomain

Subdomains:

To delete a subdomain:

1. Go to Domains > Domains Overview.
2. Click the delete icon next to the subdomain.
3. Confirm the deletion.

Main Domains:

Main domains can only be removed by the administrator. Contact support if you need to delete a main domain.

Warning: Deleting a domain will also remove all associated email addresses, though website files will remain intact.
